Spring Exam Preparation Workshops

NASW WI is offering those preparing to take their national exam a choice of formats for our popular Exam Preparation Workshops. We are offering the workshops as a live webinar or as an on site session. One is held in the evening, the other over the weekend. Our presenters have extensive experience in teaching social work and they are geared toward helping you pass the exam the first time. 

Exam Preparation Workshop  ~ Presented by Joanne Barndt, ACSW, LCSW

This workshop will assist students in preparing for Wisconsin BSW or MSW level social work certification/licensure including APSW and LCSW.  It will include a review of the types of social work content covered on the exam, test taking skills and a hands-on practice exam.

This workshop will be led by Joanne Barndt,  ACSW,  LCSW, Clinical Associate Professor Emerita of the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UW Milwaukee. She has substantial experience in child welfare, clinical, and health care settings. She has helped prepare hundreds of students for their exams.

This webinar will assist students in preparing for Wisconsin BSW or MSW level social work certification/licensure including APSW and LCSW. It will include an overview of the exam, information about test-taking strategies, a review of social work content and an analysis of sample questions.

This webinar will be led by Matt Mattila, MSW, CISW. He is a professor in the Department of Social Work at UW Green Bay. He has over fifteen years practice experience with children and families in child welfare and family court services agencies, and many years of experience as a social work lecturer and trainer. His practice interests include child welfare, forensic social work and adult education. He is committed to helping prepare the next generation of social workers to meet the challenges of effective practice.
