2007-2009 Credential Renewal Prorated
The next certification/licensure renewal period has been shortened to 7/1/2007-2/28/2009.  Certificate holders will only be required to complete a total of 25 continuing education hours, including four hours of boundaries & ethics.
 
Subsequent renewal periods will last two years
(i.e. 3/1/2009-2/28/2011).  If you obtain CEHs by attending NASW WI's Annual Conference, we will offer our usual conference on May 14-16, 2008 in Madison worth 16 hours, and will offer a day and a half conference in October 2008 which will likely be held in the Milwaukee area with at least 9 hours of continuing education.
 
Three Ethics and Boundaries Workshops in June

We are offering three Ethics and Boundaries workshops in June. Participants will receive a certificate for 4 Continuing Education hours (CEH's) per workshop upon completion. These workshops are designed to meet the State of Wisconsin Continuing Education requirements for 4 hours of social work ethics & boundaries.

Session 1 – Clinical Social Work Ethics and Boundaries

The presenter: Pamela Phillips Olson, LCSW. The workshop will be held on June 2, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the South Police Station, 825 Hughes, Madison

Session 2 - Reconsidering Ethical Dilemmas Experienced By Seasoned Social Work Practitioners

The presenter is LaVonne Cornell Swanson, MSW, PhD. The workshop will be held on June 9, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Great Wolf Lodge, 1400 Great Wolf Drive, Wisconsin Dells

Session 3 - Professional Ethics and Boundaries for the Experienced Social Work Practitioner

The presenter is Nicholas Smiar, CISW, ACSW, PhD. The workshop will be held on June 20, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Road, Waukesha

2008 Fall Conference – October 27 & 28, 2008

With certification dates changing to February, we will be moving our Annual Conference to the fall. This year, because we will have also held a spring conference, we will be offering a day and a half long conference that will offer up to 9 Continuing Education Hours.

The conference will be held at the Olympia Hotel and Resort in Oconomowoc.
