Door County Medical Center, a critical access facility in northeast Wisconsin, has served the health care needs of the Sturgeon Bay/Door County area since 1943. The medical center offers a full range of acute care services and specialties, as well as a skilled nursing facility for long-term care and rehabilitation services. Key services and facilities include clinic services, cardiac rehabilitation, a cancer/radiation oncology treatment center, comprehensive diagnostics, physical, occupational and speech therapy centers, respiratory care/rehab/sleep disorders center, a new outpatient surgical center, emergency/urgent care services and new units for medical/surgical care, ICU and the birthing center.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides therapy for individuals experiencing mental health disorders consistent with diagnoses listed in the most current DSM.  Services may be provided in the main clinic and the school branch office in context of individual, couples, group or family interactions based on the assessment of patient needs.  Generally services are by appointment but emergency triaging and disposition is provided as necessary.  The therapist adheres to the highest standard of ethical behavior and patient confidentiality.  During the course of treatment planning and coordination, the therapist may interact with one or more community agencies, law enforcement organization, and other health care professionals.  Maintenance of patient records including timely and accurate documentation of all services rendered is required. Participation in clinical collaboration is mandated by state administrative rule.

Education Required: Master’s degree in Social Work is required. Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin is required.

Related Years of Experience Required: Completion of 3,000 hours post graduate degree in supervised clinical services and certified/licensed in the state of Wisconsin required.

-Completion of 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in direct psychotherapeutic services to individual, families, couples and groups. Training and experience with children and family systems is preferred.

-Capable of working 8 plus consecutive hours, demonstrate ability to function under stress and rapidly changing conditions. Demonstrates the ability to perform triaging and crisis intervention.

Credential/Licensure Required: Clinical Social Work license, Driver’s license, CPR.

Shift: Working 40 hours a week.

As the need for mental health professionals continues to grow, Amery Hospital & Clinic is always looking for talented and passionate members to join our Behavioral Health team. At this time we are searching for a Clinical Therapist to join our wonderful team. Our current behavioral health department includes a 10 bed secure adult inpatient unit, intensive outpatient therapy services, and traditional outpatient therapy services.

Preferred candidates will hold a current WI Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) credential and have two years post-licensure experience. Other applicants, including those with LPC or LMFT credentials, and/or those who have a MSW degree and are seeking supervised experience for licensure, may be considered depending on qualifications and current clinic need. Desired candidates will have an understanding of psychological trauma, the impact of trauma, and experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies.  Experience with EMDR, DBT, ACT, and/or TF-CBT strongly preferred.

This position is responsible for providing direct clinical therapy services to patients and their families as a part of the multidisciplinary team with emphasis on completing Psychosocial Assessments, developing and implementing Treatment Plans, conducting Individual, Family, and Group Therapies, and assisting in program development.  This position serves clients of all ages.

Job Description

  • Conduct psychological assessments (cognitive evaluations) and psychotherapy to residents in senior living communities (independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing).
  • Ability to work with individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, dementia, etc.
  • Strong skills in diagnosis and treatment plan development.
  • In depth clinical skills and experience in individual, family and group therapy.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of patient needs when devising and implementing treatment.

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Medicare Provider # preferred for billing, but NOT required​.
  • Laptop / Computer.
  • Reliable Transportation.
  • Excellent Interpersonal/Clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

This position is offered as a part time / full time opportunity. Fee for Service / Billable Hour Rate.

$32,500.00 – $65,000.00 estimated annual salary with 16 – 32 BH/ week.
