Family Service of Racine Psychotherapist

Job Description

Provide individual, couples, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Family Service of Racine therapists carry out all phases of psychotherapy including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, reviewing client progress at Clinical Collaboration meetings and discharging clients when clinically appropriate.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain the highest quality of psychotherapy standards and compliance with State of Wisconsin requirements for Outpatient Mental Health Clinics.
  • Review each client’s goals at least every 90 days.
  • Attends all Clinical Collaboration meetings.
  • Conduct a standard “45-minute hour,” with the remaining 15 minutes used for documentation.
  • Maintain current Wisconsin state clinical licensure and provider status with insurance providers including regular and timely submission of credentialing material.
  • Offer 10-30 client appointments each week, including at least 1 evening per week.
  • Maintain continuing education as required by licensure or certification.
  • Maintain client files according to compliance with case record procedures.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA, DQA, Federal and State regulations and standards pertaining to the provision of Psychotherapy in the State of Wisconsin.

 Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited university or college.
  • Current state of Wisconsin licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist and adherence to a related established Code of Ethics, such as the Social Work Code of Ethics. APSWs, LPC-ITs and MFT-ITs also welcome to apply.
  • Advanced knowledge of psychotherapy theories and treatment modalities plus the ability to apply this knowledge to a diverse caseload.
  • Ability to develop effective therapeutic relationships with clients, diagnosis clients according to DSM-V standards and apply appropriate treatment interventions in a non-judgmental, strengths-based approach.
  • Willingness to work in a team setting.
  • Competency in verbal and written communication.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Currently hiring both Part-time and Full-time.  Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 /hour
