University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic – LCSW Openings
The University of Wisconsin Department Of Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic is recruiting LCSW’s to provide problem-focused, time-limited psychotherapy to adult psychiatric outpatients. Opportunities exist to participate and work together with UW faculty physicians as well as residents, interns, and medical students. Successful applicants will have experience in providing mental health services and will also show a readiness to adopt new approaches. Ideas for creative clinical programming will be welcomed. Palliative Care Social Worker – Meriter Health Services, Madison, WI –
Meriter Health Services is excited to recruit for a full-time Palliative Care Social Worker. The Palliative Care Social Worker functions as an integral member within an interdisciplinary team for daily coordination and program development. The Social Worker possesses knowledge, skills, values, methods, and sensitivities needed to work effectively with patients and families affected by life-limiting illness and end-of-life issues. Requirements include: Master’s Degree in Social Work; current state of Wisconsin LCSW license; ability to work effectively with patients and families in acute crisis and end-of-life situations; 5 years experience in a healthcare setting; strong communication skills. La Crosse County Social Worker-Child Protective Services. -
La Crosse County has vacancy to provide professional social work services to Child Protective Services for abused/neglected children and on-going caseload management. Requires experience working with families where abuse or neglect has occurred. Must be certified as Social Worker in Wis.; OR be certification eligible; OR currently possess Temporary Certificate. LCSW/MSW for Director of the Counseling & Development Center, Inc. -
The Director will oversee the functioning of all program areas that include mental health and AODA therapy, community support program, crisis on-call program and services for the developmentally disabled. The Director supervises all management staff in accordance with agency policies and procedures and must ensure compliance with the State’s administrative codes. A portion of the Director’s time will be split between administrative duties and providing direct services. That balance will be determined by the needs of the agency and the Director has complete oversight of his/her own work schedule. Qualified candidates will have a Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology and 3,000 supervised clinical hours. Master’s degree in clinical Social Work, A.C.S.W. or Psychology preferred with three years experience working in Mental Health field. Completion of 3,000 hours Post Master’s supervised clinical hours and license to practice in the State of WI necessary. Knowledge of theory, principles and practices of counseling psychology and the application of such principles to the diagnosis of treatment of clients. Must be well versed in family and group dynamics. Knowledge of types, uses, administrations and interpretations of standardized testing. Skill in behavioral observation. Ability to establish and maintain good professional relationships with staff members and the community. Ability to establish rapport with clients, secure their cooperation in difficult situations and maintain their confidence. Ability to consult and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must have a valid driver’s license, liability insurance and dependable transportation.
